Understand
Amount, vendor, line items — read, not typed.
BOB extracts vendor, amount, date, invoice number and line items from the document and checks plausibility — net, tax and gross must reconcile. Anything BOB is unsure about, it asks you instead of guessing. And manual entry is always there: BOB works fully without the recognition, too.

BOB learns where your invoices belong.
Elektro Hoffmann always went to “electrical installation”? Then BOB suggests exactly that next time — with the reason why. Confident cases can be matched automatically; everything else stays a one-tap suggestion. Every match can be undone; nothing happens in the dark.
No. Recognition is a shortcut, not a requirement: every document can be entered fully by hand, and the cost plan calculates identically. Recognition saves you the typing — control over every booking stays with you.
Very reliable on amount, date and vendor; for line items it depends on the invoice. BOB shows you what it read and flags what it is unsure about instead of booking silently. An implausible document — net plus tax not matching gross — is presented for review.
They are stored encrypted in the EU (Frankfurt, AWS eu-central-1) and remain yours: export all originals with their data, or delete them, at any time. Documents are not mined for advertising or sold to anyone.
Your project gets its own address. Invoices contractors email you are simply forwarded there — attachments land in the inbox as if uploaded. The address can be regenerated at any time if it ends up on the wrong lists.
Yes, twice over: identical files are caught at upload, and the payment guard additionally flags matching invoice numbers or suspiciously equal amounts from the same vendor. The double payment — the classic expensive site mistake — becomes very unlikely.
